RSU 64 is accepting applications for a Physical Education Teacher at Central Community Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. Central Community Elementary School serves students in grades PreK through 5 who reside in Bradford, Corinth, Kenduskeag, Hudson and Stetson, Maine.
RSU 64 seeks a unique and creative individual to join our team in an effort to enhance our previously initiated efforts that include outdoor-based physical education. Instruction also includes the more traditional elementary aspects of movement and cooperative play.
The ideal candidate will be certified by the State of Maine (510 & 515) and be knowledgeable about aspects of sport and recreation to include the pursuit of lifelong health and fitness beginning at a young age. All candidates should be able to plan and collaborate with peers and have knowledge of, and be able to apply the principles of, standards based learning. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate knowledge and experience in working with young children.
