Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Pool

Villa Saint Joseph is currently hiring for a License Practical Nurse (LPN) Pool. VSJ offers a positive work environment with multiple shifts available.

LPN’s job duties include but are not limited to:

Job Summary:

To provide excellence in nursing care to our residents in collaboration with other healthcare team members. To ensure safety and promote independence when appropriate in a retirement setting.

• One (1) weekend / a month requirement.
• Oversees the care of residents and all the components of that care.
• Provide medical treatments as ordered.
• Responds to immediate family member concerns regarding resident care.
• Administers medications in a safe and effective manner.
• Participates in the initial and subsequent updating of care requirements for each resident, including working with DON and RN to determine level of care.
• Able to collaborate with health care professionals via phone or tele-med.
• Records each medication delivery from Pharmacy during the shift and ensures accuracy.
• Communicates with physicians, and other professional service providers, regarding resident care issues and the scheduling of appointments and transportation.
• Oversees the Nursing Assistants.
• Responds to any immediate need or emergency situation in the building.
• Able to develop and implement care plan and update as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess an LPN license.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Must have licensed in the BPOA PA Licensing System.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Experience in long term care required.
