Job Description:
As an Attorney at Conybeare Injury and Accident Lawyers, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate the complexities of various personal injury and worker’s compensation claims. You will be responsible for providing legal counsel, representation, and advocacy to clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
· Client Consultations: Meet with clients to discuss their personal injury claims, evaluate the merits of their cases, and explain the legal process.
· Case Investigation: Investigate and gather evidence related to clients' injuries, including medical records, accident reports, and witness statements.
· Claim Filing: Prepare and file claims on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all required documentation.
· Negotiation: Negotiate with insurance companies, employers, and opposing counsel to reach favorable settlements for clients.
· Litigation: Represent clients in hearings, administrative proceedings, and trials when necessary.
· Client Support: Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the legal process, addressing their questions and concerns promptly.
· Documentation: Maintain detailed case records, documentation, and correspondence to track progress and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
· Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to understand the applicable laws, regulations, and precedents that pertain to each case.
· Legal Strategy: Develop and execute effective legal strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
· Legal Updates: Stay informed about changes in Michigan laws and regulations and apply this knowledge to benefit clients.
Qualifications:
· Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
· Active state bar admission and license to practice law in Michigan—willing to consider newly barred and experienced candidates.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
