Title: Cybersecurity Professional –IT Unification
Job Type : 4-Month Contract, 40 hours per week
Location: Remote with occassional travel to site

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to conduct security assessments and support compliance initiatives for FDACS applications and infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and endpoint protection, with a solid understanding of security frameworks like NIST 800-53 and HIPAA. The ideal candidate will provide actionable remediation guidance, contribute to documentation and compliance deliverables, and collaborate on risk and AI governance assessments. This is a remote, client-facing position that requires independence, strong technical writing skills, and familiarity with tools like Microsoft DevOps. CISSP, CEH, or equivalent certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity assessments or technical security roles
• Strong understanding of vulnerability testing, endpoint protection , and cloud/on-prem security
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, HIPAA , and security control evaluation frameworks
• Experience supporting penetration testing and providing actionable remediation guidance
• CISSP, CEH , or equivalent certifications preferred
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills
• Experience using Microsoft DevOps or other ticket tracking systems
• Ability to work independently in a remote client-facing environment

Description and Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on Client web apps, portals, and infrastructure
• Evaluate endpoint protection, patch management, and security control configurations
• Support risk analysis and compliance activities aligned to NIST 800-53, HIPAA.
• Analyze and document findings; support remediation guidance and one-time retesting
• Collaborate with the AI readiness lead to assess AI system risk and governance alignment
• Participate in DR/BC planning reviews and security-related testing
• Work independently and contribute to technical documentation, reports, and compliance deliverables
• Support weekly syncs and provide updates through Microsoft DevOps or other tracking tools
