Position Summary:
The team at Gourmet Pie & Cafe is seeking a reliable and motivated Breakfast Cook to join our kitchen team. You'll be responsible for preparing and cooking our breakfast menu items to the highest standards, ensuring each guest receives a fresh and delicious meal every time. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook breakfast menu items (eggs, pancakes, waffles, omelets, breakfast meats, etc.) according to recipes and specifications.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before and during service.
Ensure food is prepared safely, consistently, and presented attractively.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Work efficiently to handle high-volume breakfast service.
Communicate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
Assist with prep work, inventory, and receiving deliveries as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef.
Qualifications:
Previous breakfast or line cook experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and food safety standards.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
