Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented R&D Laboratory Technician to support our Research & Development team. This role involves assisting with small-scale production runs, weighing and blending materials, operating equipment, and recording batch data. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced lab or production environment and eager to learn. Must be fluent in Spanish and have at least basic English skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the extruder for R&D pilot production
• Weigh and blend materials as needed for pilot batches
• Record any adjustments or changes made during pilot runs
• Clean equipment and maintain workstation cleanliness
• Perform organoleptic (sensory) tests on raw materials and finished products
• Follow safety and operational protocols
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; higher education is a plus
• 1 year of experience in a lab or production setting preferred (not required)
• Able to use scales and perform accurate weight measurements
• Proficient in basic math for calculations (required)
• Must be able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency is strongly preferred.
• Able to stand for extended periods as required by job duties
• Experience with extruder machinery is a plus (willing to train)
• Must be detail-oriented and able to follow instructions carefully
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
